In response to the agreement-in-principle to reform zoning under the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF), Winnipeg is receiving $122 million in funds from the federal government to remove barriers to building needed housing faster. - Rapid zoning bylaw amendments
- Amendments to local area plans
- Incentive programs promoting multi-family housing downtown and on major corridors
- Creating a land enhancement office
- Establishing a City of Winnipeg concierge for affordable housing
- Infrastructure supports to increase residential construction
- Digitizing and accelerating development approvals and permitting
